Triotray Pro

The Triotray Pro is a re-usable dual-arch stainless steel tray with all the rigidity and accuracy of a full-arch metal tray. It comes in two sizes and has single-use mesh inserts.

It eliminates any chance of impression distortion, a common problem with disposable dual-arch trays, ensuring highly accurate upper, lower and occlusal impressions.

The tray is suitable for crown and bridge, and temporary crowns. The mesh insert and impression material are easily removed for tray cleaning after the restoration has been cemented and you are sure that the impression is no longer needed. The only ongoing cost is the inexpensive inserts.

Tips for making temporary crowns:
Use a Triotray Pro and a small amount of alginate alternative or a fast-setting (30 seconds) PVS impression material to take an impression of the tooth before any preparation. When your prep is finished, reposition the impression with temporary crown material to make the temporary crown. When you have finished placing the temporary crown, slide the impression out of the Triotray Pro and keep it with the patient's notes for use again if the crown is lost or broken. Note: You don't need to put the impression back in the tray; you can make a second temporary crown from the impression material alone.
